Ago, the fourth and most recent outpost of the famed Tuscan restaurant, is a dazzling new venue for upscale dining on the downtown scene. Grayling Design’s signature style of recycled historic elements paired with innovative craft predominates the interior of this unique Italian trattoria, from antique farmhouse chairs to the various original light fixtures. An array of eclectic materials— Goshen schist tops a bar of carved mahogany panels beneath blown glass rondels and Civil War-era heart pine beams— greets patrons at the leaded glass vestibule; brush-finished paneling and a staggering 90,000 wine corks soften the tone within the intimate dining room. Working closely with their clients, Grayling Design has helped to launch the neighborhood's freshest new destination.
Ago is on the ground floor of the Greenwich Hotel.
